Each year, Lamar University awards more than 2,000 scholarships providing more than $10 million in assistance to students.
We consider students for financial aid following acceptance to a Lamar University degree-seeking program and receipt of all required documents, including FAFSA paperwork. The Financial Aid office may then request additional information before awards can be distributed.
Lamar University awards more than 2,000 scholarships each year, including the Mirabeau Scholarship, which offers free tuition, fees, room and board to qualifying incoming freshmen. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, leadership abilities and special skills, such as athletics and music.
